THE ROAD TO A GREENER society.
Svevind is a privately owned group of companies in the renewable energy industry, based in Weißenbrunn (Germany), Piteå (Northern Sweden), Dresden (Germany) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). The Svevind group plans, develops, designs, sells, and operates onshore wind power and solar PV as well as green hydrogen projects.
The projects vary in size and scope from single turbines to farms of 1,101* turbines and up to Gigawatt-scale green hydrogen projects.

EUROPE’S LARGEST ONSHORE WIND FARM LOCATED IN SWEDEN IS GROWING QUICKLY
Markbygden 1101* is the name of the project initiated by Svevind back in 2001. It has been a long journey, with Svevind steadfast at the helm, towards realising the largest onshore wind power project in Europe and one of the largest-ever industrial projects to date. In Piteå, in the county of Norrbotten, up to 1101* wind turbines are emerging, which together will produce up to 12 TWh per year. This is comparable with up to 8% of today’s electricity consumption of Sweden.

WE’RE LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR THE ENERGY OF TOMORROW
A CENTRAL ROLE IN SWEDEN’S FUTURE ENERGY PRODUCTION

SVEVIND BELIEVES IN ONSHORE WIND POWER AS AN ENERGY SOURCE OF THE FUTURE
Wind power is a renewable source of energy provided by nature. The operation of wind turbines does not produce any emissions or require any environmentally damaging transportation of fuel, and wind power is a long-term sustainable source of energy. Between 2012 and 2017, electricity produced using wind power plants in Sweden increased by 240% according to the Swedish Energy Agency and Statistics Sweden.

FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS
Svevind wants to help to combat global warming and make Sweden self-sufficient in terms of renewable energy. Our focus is wind power – a source of energy with very good future prospects which does not leave an environmental debt for future generations to repay. Svevind conducts careful planning and analyses to ensure that the green energy yields are as high as possible. We are developing our methods to ensure that our neighbours also benefit from wind power.
