This is another huge milestone in Svevind´s history so far.

On March 17, 2016 the Environment Permit Office in Norrbotten approved to construct and operate up to 442 wind turbines in the third and final phase of the unique Markbygden project. This means that the entire project, which encompasses a total of 1101 turbines has received permission.

Already in 2010 the overall Markbygden project received the government admissibility of a number of conditions, as well as the delegation to the Environment Permit Office of the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten for further examination of the company's application for a permit under the Environmental Code.

- It feels great, says Mikael Kyrk, COO of Svevind who also want to thank all the employees and everyone else around who made this possible.

The project is now moving ahead with the new ownership structure (see the linked press release 2016-02-03).
