Change is in the air for Markbygden. The ownership structure has changed to support the realisation of the huge wind farm of up to 1,101 wind turbines in Piteå Municipality.

SVEVIND and ENERCON present a new structure for the organisation and ownership of the Markbygden 1101 project. The new organisation means that SVEVIND and ENERCON split ownership of the  two phases. The new organisation creates a new basis for continuing the implementation of the unique wind farm in Piteå Municipality, Norrbotten.

In the new structure ENERCON is taking over SVEVIND’s part of the first parts of phase 1. This part includes the operational Skogberget wind farm and the partially commenced Ersträsk wind farm. Additional 179 turbines which will complete phase 1, have been taken over by SVEVIND for both project ownership and realisation. Power generated by the entire phase 1 will be transferred to the existing Råbäcken transformer station for distribution.

Ownership and realisation of phase 2, up to 440 turbines, have been taken over in full by ENERCON. Responsibility for the construction of the new Trolltjärn transformer station for phase 2 will be at ENERCON and Svenska kraftnät.

The changes have been made to enhance the efficiency of the overall realisation of the Markbygden 1101 project.
